Assurity Development with NeighborWorks® Lincoln engaged Sinclair Hille Architects to to revitalize a key area on the eastern edge downtown Lincoln, Nebraska. Once an undesirable section of Lincoln’s Malone-Hartley neighborhood now includes 24-single family attached residences (row homes) with front porches facing the street and shared auto courts served from a common alley.

The townhomes were part of a phased project implemented over an approximate 3-year period. Phase 1 included 10 single-family attached units in 3 separate buildings followed by an additional 14 units in Phase 2.

Two floor plan options provide two-bedroom plans at different price points. All of the units have attached garages and full basements. The exteriors are contemporary in style, combining brick and lap siding materials together in a clean and neutral color palette.

Central to NeighborWorks® mission is the strengthening of Lincoln’s near-downtown neighborhoods through the promotion of home ownership. This essential purpose drove the project from the outset and influenced the development of the products offered to the new home owners. The project has shown every indication of success – even from the very outset, as ½ of the units available were sold before phase 1 construction was complete.
