Celebrating Women in Construction Week 2026

Sinclair Hille Architects was honored to celebrate Women in Construction Week 2026 with an inspiring and collaborative gathering at the Gretna Community Complex project site.

Organized by The Weitz Company, the event brought together women from across the project team for a behind-the-scenes tour and meaningful conversation centered on this year’s theme, “Level Up. Build Strong.” It was a wonderful opportunity to connect, share experiences, and recognize the growing impact of women shaping the built environment.

A highlight of the tour was learning more about the progress of the Gretna Community Complex and hearing directly from the project’s superintendent—whose leadership and expertise exemplify the important role women continue to play in construction. Her perspective offered valuable insight into the day-to-day coordination and craftsmanship driving the project forward.

Events like these reflect the strength of collaboration across our industry. We are proud to work alongside partners including NAWIC AUS, the City of Gretna, Nebraska, Gretna Public Library Foundation, Multistudio, Morrissey Engineering, Inc., Olsson, Confluence, and Structural Design Group—all contributing their expertise to bring this community-centered project to life.

At Sinclair Hille Architects, we believe that great design is built through genuine collaboration and diverse perspectives. We are grateful for opportunities like this to celebrate the women leading, building, and inspiring within our industry—and to be part of a project that reflects the continued growth and momentum of the Gretna community.
