Sinclair Hille Architects is proud to announce that Promenade at Pioneers has been selected for the 2026 Larry Enersen Urban Design Award, recognizing its meaningful contribution to Lincoln’s built environment and community.
Located in Lincoln’s College View neighborhood, Promenade at Pioneers transforms an underutilized site into a thoughtfully designed mixed-income residential community. The project includes 12 townhomes and a 2,000-square-foot community plaza designed to create opportunities for residents and neighbors to gather, connect and enjoy shared outdoor space.
The project was developed with a focus on quality homeownership opportunities, neighborhood connection and thoughtful urban design. Homes are oriented to engage both the street and interior of the development, while pedestrian paths, landscaping, seating and local artwork help create a welcoming sense of place.
The Larry Enersen Urban Design Award, established by Lincoln’s Urban Design Committee, recognizes projects that demonstrate excellence in urban design and contribute to the quality and character of Lincoln. We are honored that Promenade at Pioneers was selected for this recognition.
“This project is a great example of what can happen when a committed client and project team come together around a shared vision for housing and community,” said Michael Harpster, Principal, Sinclair Hille Architects. “Promenade at Pioneers is more than a collection of homes—it is a place designed to strengthen connections and contribute to the surrounding neighborhood.”
We are grateful to the Lincoln Arts Council and Urban Design Committee for this recognition and to our project partners for their collaboration in bringing Promenade at Pioneers to life.
