Park Middle School

The renovation of Park Middle School focused on improving indoor air quality (IAQ) and enhancing energy efficiency to create a healthier, more comfortable learning environment for students and staff. The project included a comprehensive range of upgrades designed to improve building performance and functionality, while also addressing critical IAQ concerns. A new cafeteria addition was incorporated to better serve students and enhance the overall dining experience.

To support improved air quality, new rooftop mechanical spaces were constructed to house advanced HVAC systems. These upgrades allow for better temperature regulation, airflow control, and ventilation throughout the building. In tandem with the mechanical improvements, the interior received refreshed finishes—including new ceilings, paint, and flooring—selected to promote durability, comfort, and a healthier indoor environment.

Additional enhancements included the replacement of all windows to increase natural daylight and improve thermal performance, contributing to both energy efficiency and the building’s visual appeal. Classrooms were reconfigured to accommodate three new early childhood classrooms, thoughtfully designed to support younger learners while prioritizing air quality and comfort. New teacher planning areas were also introduced to encourage collaboration and provide functional, productive workspaces for educators.

Through these strategic improvements, the Park Middle School renovation modernized the facility, addressed IAQ and energy efficiency goals, and fostered a healthier, more sustainable learning environment.
