Nolan Schaefer

Nolan Schaefer, AIA joined Sinclair Hille Architects in 2016 and serves as a Senior Associate and Project Architect. He brings strength to the early phases of design, helping translate client goals into clear architectural direction through programming, schematic design, and design development. With an academic background in both architecture and physics, Nolan approaches projects with a thoughtful, analytical mindset and a passion for creating spaces that serve and strengthen communities.

What advice would you give to someone starting out in the field?

Think of yourself as a lifelong student of design and construction. Stay curious, ask questions, and listen as much as you possibly can – there’s something to learn from every project and every person involved.

What hobby or activity are you passionate about outside of work?

I’m passionate about golf. Whether it’s a full round or a session at the range, I enjoy the constant problem-solving and unique challenge that every shot brings.
