Permanent Supportive Housing Open House

Permanent Supportive Housing Open House
Yesterday marked an important milestone for Lincoln with the Open House for The Jay—our city’s first permanent supportive housing facility. Located at 8th and J Streets, this two-story, 16,000 sq. ft. building will provide 24 individuals transitioning out of chronic homelessness with safe housing and access to essential services such as health care, employment resources, and case management.
Trauma-Informed Design principles guided the development, ensuring spaces promote dignity, safety, and community. Features include a secure front porch, accessible dwelling units, inviting common areas, and dedicated staff spaces for seamless support.
We are proud to have contributed to this vital addition to Lincoln’s support network and grateful to the City of Lincoln Urban Development team for their leadership.
